To illustrate the working of BharatVani
transliteration system we have included a song and dance sequence
from the Hindi film "Hindustani". While hearing this
song you should compare how each Hindi word has been
transliterated in Devanagari and/or Roman scripts depending on
which script you are most comfortable with. We suggest you repeat
this process 5-10 times to produce the learning results for which
this lesson has been designed.
Also try to compare and find out
whether the 'ten commandments' for use of BharatVani
transliteration system as explained in the previous have been
applied to this transliteration.
Finally click here to open IWrite32 and select 'Run the Program from its Current
location'. From the dropdown 'File' menu select 'Use Map File"
named 'Bharatvani.map'. Copy and paste any English
transliteration paragraph from this page. Press F4 (or select 'Convert'
from the dropdown 'Edit' menu). You will see the English
transliteration converted to Hindi. Keep practicing and exploring
this IWrite32 utility program until you are comfortable with
it. Then practice by changing the pasted text or try to type any
text of your choice using the BharatVani Transliteration system
explained in previous lessons.
Feel free to pause or move the slider in
the above control panel
to hear/view any sequence/s again.
